Vehicle rental is generally not the most exciting part of a vacation or business trip. It’s not often that a rental company also functions as a de facto welcoming committee, tour guide, expedition support, or all-around concierge for a northern experience. K&K Expediting and Truck Rentals is exactly that. Originally based in the Dahcho region at Fort Simpson, Northwest Territories, owner Tim McClelland has since expanded into Whitehorse, Yukon.
K&K is focused on supporting the region by giving visitors a personalized introduction to the north. Getting picked up at the airport by Tim or one of his team is standard, but if you want your truck delivered to your site, that’s possible too. Same with logistical support, directions around town and recommendations for other places to visit. The staff at K&K consider themselves to be ambassadors, rather than just service providers, and as such are helping a new generation of prospectors explore opportunities in Canada’s north.
